Pierre Richard

is one of the most popular and cherished French actors, enjoying a worldwide reputation with his unique roles in film comedies. Working side by side with many directors and actors such as Louis de Funes and Gérard Depardieu, he has earned the reputation of being one of the most talented French genre actors in the last 50 years. There are 300 million Slavs living in the world, most of them in the 13 countries belonging to the so-called Slavic countries. Pierre Richard sets out on a thrilling and amusing culinary exploration journey across these territories. Thirteen states, all sharing common Slavic culture and tradition, see him accompanied and hosted by distinguished celebrities from the world of pop culture, sport and art. Exploring a common »Slavic soul« with the help of local „guides“, the traveller unearths the immense wealth and varieties of a culinary tradition, as well as an incredible diversity of local traditions, their mutual influences and mixings with the neighbouring cultures. What best defines a nation is its culture, culture of music, food, theatre, film, literature, wine… culture is what makes us different and links us together. We have never been witness to any show that would represent and link all Slavic countries together. Let us introduce ourselves to the audience, let’s give them a chance to get to know us, feel us and experience us. Let them sit at the table. Not only the Non-Slavic audience; let a Russian sit at the table with a Slovene, a Montenegro with a Pole, a Bulgarian with a Belarusian… Slavic soul is beautiful. We will reveal the heart of every country, its pulse and the life blood running through it.

PRODUCTION MODE AND TIMELINE

Pre-production: Autumn 2015 Production: 2016 Postproduction: 2016 – 2017 Delivery date: Spring 2017 There are more production models possible, the preferable one is: Co-production/ Collection – each Slavic country contributes basic budget to produce one long episode (45-50′) + optionally 3 short versions (20-25′) in their own country and adds to the general budget. Financing is based on the principle of solidarity; richer countries contribute more and consequently gain bigger share of income in the case of successful sales of the series to the other parts of the world. Basic production team is the same for all countries, to ensure the same quality of production, local staff (executive producer) and experts/researchers are added to the basic production team. BUDGET for 13 X 45-50′ / 39 x 20-25′ series: 1.240.000 EUR
